Seeds & Swarm
A downloadable Proof of Concept for Windows
Seeds & Swarm is a short, 3-5 minute proof of concept made in about 4 weeks using the Godot game engine. It was our (credits listed below) final group project for GAME-714 - Game Design: Ludic Methodology @ SCAD. Due to time constraints (and frankly, other final assignments), the focus in development was on 1) core gameplay of healing plants + fighting bugs, and 2) a complete loop from start menu to credit screen.
Players take on the role of Hazel, a witch that discovers the forest she lives in has been infested with bugs. Hazel must find and destroy these bugs using powerful spells, while also healing the plants they've damaged in their wake.
1 Home level + 1 combat level | Automatic healing + unlimited respawns
Controls:
Move -> WASD
Sprint -> SPACEBAR
Attack -> LEFT CLICK
Shield -> RIGHT CLICK
Lightning Spell -> F
Healing Spell -> Q (only when near a damaged plant)
Free Aim -> SHIFT (hold)
Zoom in/out -> ALT
Pause Game - ESC
